Robert Kardashian Facing Revenge Porn Lawsuit

No one expects their former romantic partner to post several nude photographs of them on their social media account, but that is exactly what happened to Blac Chyna. Robert Kardashian (brother of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe, and half-brother of Kylie and Kendall) recently posted several nude photographs of his on-again-off-again girlfriend on Instagram, sharing the explicit, personal photos with his nearly 10 million followers. In the post, Kardashian also accused Chyna of infidelity and drug use. When Instagram deleted Kardashian’s account, he took to Twitter. Chyna responded to Kardashian on Snapchat.

Regardless of how tumultuous your relationship may be, and any content that you previously posted on your social media accounts, California’s penal code criminalizes revenge porn, characterizing it as a misdemeanor, punishable by a $1,000 fine or up to six months in jail. The state’s penal code specifically defines “revenge porn” or “nonconsensual pornography” as the intentional distribution of intimate photos or videos of another “identifiable person” that were intended to remain private, and when shared, caused “serious emotional distress.” For photos or videos to qualify as revenge porn, under the California penal code, there had to be an understanding that the explicit photos of her would remain private, and that online distribution of images would cause serious emotional distress.

As Chyna recently state on Good Morning America, even “if you can’t respect me, you have to respect the law.” While Rob Kardashian may not respect Blac Chyna enough to refrain from posting sexually explicit photos of her, he is still required to respect the law, and suffer the consequences of breaking the law. Revenge porn is a form of domestic abuse, and anyone, celebrity or not, can be a victim, and must be held accountable. If you have been betrayed by a person that you trusted, we can help you reclaim your dignity and peace of mind by having unauthorized explicit images removed from the Internet.
